About the Speaker:

Sidney Madison Prescott is currently a senior leader for ETRADE corporation’s Robotic Process Automation Center of Excellence as a part of the firm’s Software Engineering organization. Sidney is currently based out of ETRADE’s Jersey City location.

Prior to ETrade, Sidney held the position of Vice President of Intelligent Process Automation (Robotic Process Automation, Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence) at BNY Mellon, and partnered with internal business units to strategize ways to transform business processes through robotic automation. As a result of Intelligent Process implementations, employees are freed up from general swivel chair activities to handle more value add tasks for Bank of New York’s extensive clientele. After spending the past few years of her career in the cognitive automation space, Sidney knows what drives successful global robotics implementations and has excelled at delivering projects resulting in a seven-figure return on investment stats for Fortune 250 companies across the globe.

Sidney has filled many prominent leadership positions in support of women in technology, with an emphasis on driving mentorship programs for young professionals. This includes a stint with the American Association of University Women as a campus chapter President. During her time at First Data, Sidney also held several enterprise-level leadership positions as a member of the YoPro (Young Professionals) employee resource group. Sidney was recently nominated by the USA Women in Payments awards committee and a group of her peers, as a coveted “Rising Star in Payments” 2019 award recipient. In addition, the Women in IT global organization recently nominated Sidney for the 2019 Silicon Valley “Rising Star in IT” award.

In addition to her extensive work in the technology sector, Sidney is also a published author with both an Honors Thesis and an award-winning philosophical essay to her credit published by ScholarWorks & Misericordia University’s Journal of Living Philosophy. As a result of her academic excellence, Sidney was awarded an official state resolution by the State of Georgia’s House of Representatives in praise of her dedication to exemplary academic scholarship.

Sidney holds a BA in Philosophy & Political Science (Pre-Law) along with Honors, Advanced Honors & Research Honors from Georgia State University, and has recently been accepted into Brenau University’s inaugural Executive Women’s MBA program as a recipient of a 2019 Women in Technology $10,000 scholarship based on both peer recommendations and industry accolades. In addition, Sidney is a 2020 MBAChic Fellow, after accepting another $10,000 scholarship to attend Brenau University in January 2020 in pursuit of her MBA.

Sidney currently resides in Manhattan’s Upper East Side with her two small dogs, Addison and Grey-Sloan. Sidney is an avid snowboarder and frequent spin class attendee. Sidney is currently working on recruiting talent for her tech startup in New York, and aspires to become an entrepreneur/founder of her own company as well as the Chief Technology Officer of a Fortune 100 company.
